A unique Team Building session, based on olfaction!

It was a great way to create a Team building through a very unique experience: develop the sense of olfaction!
Olfaction is an under-utilized sense that we neglect most of the time. The good news is that it can be improved through theory and practice.
Recognizing single aromas blindly is not easy, and doing so within Teams makes it a very unique experience that is very fun all along.
Sharing olfactive sensation and achieving a consensus on the answers is a very effective and innovative way to create a real Team building.
How does whiskey come into play?
Whiskey is a spirit that contains a lot of different aromas at a subtle concentration. An educated nose can typically find ten to twenty different aromas in a good standard whiskey, with some more prominent than others, defining the character of the spirit.
Old whiskies even show in studies that they harbor hundreds of different aromas… This shows why there is so much diversity in the nosing and the tasting of whiskies.
The game is based on some aromas found in whiskey. For the last round of the game, single aromas are put together in a certain order to create a profile. The Teams have to match each profile to whiskey samples that are provided.
And of course at the end, for those who are interested, there is a whiskey tasting with the whiskies used blindly for the game.
A very fun session!
Through the whole session,there are many fun moments. The game is organized in a way that all participants are stimulated and build nice interaction among each other.
