Jersey City, Harborside Plaza Atrium & Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, February 2nd, 2018, it is almost 7:00pm: more than thousand whiskey enthusiasts are in line waiting for the doors to open. The atmosphere is joyful and everybody talks to a friend, to the next in line, or to a passerby: all know that it will be an enjoyable experience; over 100 styles of whiskey and spirits are waiting to be tasted, and when the doors open, the rush to the exhibition booths demonstrate how much attendees are eager to experience the samples.           The types of whiskies displayed are very diverse: from single malt to blended Scotch, from Irish to bourbon, from rye to Tennessee, counting also Japanese, Canadian and craft-distilled whiskies, it is impossible not to find matching spirits of one’s own taste.   This is a great time to speak with brand representatives, and learn more about the whiskies as well as selecting the next to acquire…     It is advised to do one of the following: spit the whiskies tasted instead of swallowing, or have a designated driver. As far as one could tell by watching, most if not all might have chosen the second option.     As it is tough to chose which whiskey to taste, temptation is high to sample as much as possible. Drinking a lot of water and eating are really necessary!    The icing on the cake? The beautiful scenery just outside, the very day of the full moon, on the top of the Liberty Tower. An excellent ending!
