Whisky Live New York City - February 28 2018 - A good place to be

As it happens in many big cities in the world, NYC annual Whisky Live event took place in February 28 in New-York city. About 50 booth showcasing whiskies from USA and around the world were spread out in the hall. “Whisky Live” was created by the owners of Whisky Magazine, Paragraph Publishing, back in 2000. Interestingly, the first shows took place in Tokyo and London. The principle is to gather professionals and whisky enthusiasts on the same premise for discovery and interactions. The brand ambassadors from the whisky distilleries are present to showcase their products, and sampling is the key aspect to exchange impressions and tasting notes. If the beginning is quite, soon after the fair becomes crowded… A VIP space, accessible on a limited basis for an extra fee, provides the opportunity to taste more refined and rare whiskies. As you can see, there are a lot of opportunities to sample the whiskies displayed: better to have a designated driver unless you can spit most of what you taste… The next Whisky Live I will attend is held in London in March, over two days, with the addition of masterclasses.
